NCAGC is turning 75!
In March 2026, the National Capital Area Garden Clubs, Incorporated will celebrate 75 years as an organization! On this page we will share some highlights of our organization.
NCAGC's 40th Anniversary: 1951-1991 History
On Tuesday, September 24, 1991, The National Capital Area Federation of Garden Clubs (as NCAGC was known) celebrated 40 years with a Highlight of History featuring a Parade of Presidents. We are grateful to Shirley Nicolai, NCAGC President 1997-1999 for scanning this information to share.
The Capital Gardener Historical Perspective
Starting in the Fall 1999 Edition, Dale W. DeFeo, in the position of Historian, wrote a series of historical perspectives, some taken from the work on the 40th Anniversary.
