Judges Council
(JC)

Membership in this Council are flower show judges accredited by the National Garden Clubs (NGC) and who are members of garden clubs of the National Capital Area Garden Clubs (NCAGC).  Student judges who have passed three courses of Flower Show School and who are members of garden clubs of the NCAGC may become provisional members.  Other membership categories include Honorary membership, Emeritus Judges and Affiliate Judges.

The Purpose of this Council is to further the education of Council members in horticulture and floral design through programs, flower shows and symposium, and to promote the standards and ethics of flower show judging.  The Council assists garden clubs and their members in sponsoring NGC flower shows, encourages garden club members to become Accredited NGC Flower Show Judges and provides awards to winners of Judges Council sponsored NCAGC flower show awards.

The Council meets at least four times a year, the dates of  meetings are noted on the NCAGC Website calendar.
