A. Winners are published in an Awards Booklet distributed at the following March National Capital Area Garden
Club’s Awards meeting and are listed in the summer issue of ‘The Capital Gardener’.
B. FORMS AND DEADLINES:
All awards require duplicate application forms. Forms and supporting evidence are due on or before
NOVEMBER 4, 2011, except for the single application for Award #18 (Citation for Outstanding Garden Club Achievement) due on or before January 23, 2012.

C. ELIGIBILITY:
Only clubs that are members of the National Capital Area Garden Clubs are eligible to apply for a State Award except when the recipients are proposed by the Awards Committee or by the Board of Trustees. Junior Garden Clubs, Intermediate and High School Gardeners must be sponsored by a member club. Clubs and individual members may apply for one or more awards. Only members of the National Capital Area are eligible to apply for a Central Atlantic Region Award and/or a National Garden Clubs Award. This application must be submitted through the National Capital Area’s Awards Chairman.

F. AWARD APPLICATION
REQUIREMENTS FOR DOCUMENTATION:
Requirements for Award Application -
A Flower Show Book of Evidence is required for these last two awards. You now
have a choice for submission. Your Book of Evidence may be prepared either on CD/DVD using WORD or Power Point if you don't have the capability of saving in PDF. Attach a label to the CD/DVD then proceed to assemble the pages in the order dictated by the Handbook for Flower Shows. Do not put the schedule on the CD/DVD. Submit with 1 paper copy of the Award Application and 1 copy of the schedule with the CD/DVD in an envelope and send it to the State Awards Chairman. Books of Evidence will still be accepted if a club chooses not to do a CD/DVD.
G. FLOWER SHOW AWARDS:
1. Non-
Book of Evidence showing top award winners is required for Award #33. Small Standard Flower Shows are eligible for State Awards #9 and #31. Standard Flower Shows are eligible for State Awards #6, #7, #9, #10, #11, #12, #30 and #33. Evaluated Standard Flower Shows scoring 95 or above are eligible for NCAGC Award #32 and a NGC (National) Award. A Flower Show Book of Evidence created using NGC Flower Show guidelines is required for Awards #31 and #32.
2. Applications for evaluated Standard Flower Shows must be made to the National Capital Area’s Council of
Accredited Flower Show Judges' Chairman 60 days prior to the date of the show. For complete information on procedures to be followed to have your district or club Standard Flower Show evaluated, refer to
