State, District & Club Awards


Dear Garden Club Presidents,

     

As your incoming State Awards Chairman, I would like to encourage each of you to start planning for awards now.  If your club does not have an awards chairman, please appoint one.  

    

If you will go to the AWARDS tab, everything you will ever need to know about awards is there  for your support.  All the awards and rules are listed as well as the applications, which you can download.  All of our clubs, districts, councils and plant societies do wonderful things in our communities and should be recognized for their hard work.  Your district awards chairman (listed below) is there to help you with any questions you may have regarding any of the awards offered.  You may also contact me for assistance.  Please look over the offered awards on line or listed in the National Capital Area Garden Club, Inc Directory.  Choose any that you believe your club would qualify and work with the rules required, starting now.  It is not difficult.  The Award of Honor could go to someone in your club who goes beyond the call of duty.  The requirements are on the web site.  Many awards offer monetary awards given by various councils.  What an easy way to raise funds.   

    

Keep me busy by applying for as many awards as possible. Listed below are some important dates.  You may want to add them to your club calendars.   Have fun with your friends and get awarded for it.  Who could ask for anything more?
