2011-2013 NGC PRESIDENT SPECIAL PROJECT
Due Dates - April 1, 2012 and April 1, 2013
Just when you thought you'd not have to think AWARDS, and that you were done until
next year, let me make you aware of the 2011-2013 NGC PRESIDENT SPECIAL PROJECT.
Complete information as well as entry forms can be found on our National Capital
Area’s website as well as The National Garden Clubs, Inc. website. (on the NGC website
look under Special Projects.) Your garden club will receive recognition for participation
in any or all of the 3 categories which are: Gardening with Edibles; Container Gardens;
& Trees and Shrubs. The deadlines are April 1, 2012 and April 1, 2013. The form
to enter is so simple. All you need is a project description (limited to 250 words)
and before and after photo of your project. Plantings for Public and Special Places
aligns extremely well with other areas of interest of our garden club outreach: Blue
Star Memorial Markers, Habitat for Humanity Gardens, Penny Pines, Plant It Pink,
Sage and Roses, and Arbor Day ceremonies, to name a few. So plan now and let me
see a lot of entries in April.
